Arash, a man living in Vancouver, is determined to find any news about his former lover, Nina, who is imprisoned in the jails of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The film intertwines scenes from the story with behind-the-scenes footage, where Nina’s life becomes entangled with the real-life events experienced by the film crew. These behind-the-scenes moments delve into the contemporary Iranian women’s movement, highlighting the struggles of many women like Nina.
